About the role:

We are seeking our first internal Finance Leader to build the foundations of our financial infrastructure at Moov. You will be responsible for owning all aspects of general corporate accounting and finance-related activities.


  • Monthly and quarterly reporting, financial reconciliation, and close
  • Create and manage our expensing policy and systems
  • Structure and manage our commission and bonus plans
  • AP/AR and expense management processes, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance
  • Identify, implement, and improve policy, processes, systems, and tools to streamline and drive efficiency as the company scales
  • Payroll in partnership with People Operations
  • Coordinating bookkeeping activities with our partners
  • Equity distributions and reconciliation for both onboarding and off-boarding
  • Reports and analysis to the Leadership team
  • Quarterly and annual federal and state tax preparation, reporting, and compliance
  • Owning and solving a wide breadth of financial decisions for Moov

About you:

A strong background in all aspects of corporate financial management for early-stage venture-backed organizations, with strengths in accounting/controllership and financial planning and analysis. In addition to;

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles with a track record of success in driving growth of an early-stage technology company
  • Understands the unique opportunities and challenges that come with working within a rapidly scaling organization
  • Exceptional communication skills that are transparent
  • Desire to create an environment where issues are identified and resolved quickly
  • Collaborative and able to work across an organization to accomplish goals
  • Ideally will have experience with finances for brokerages and/or technology companies
  • A high degree of ownership and ability to work without a playbook
