About the Role:

Given our explosive growth, we’re hiring a Head of Operations to join our leadership team and oversee a number of critical areas of our business. The Head of Ops will report to our Founder and CEO and will be someone who can act as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, execute the vision, and effectively communicate that to the company. This leader can cohesively and eloquently tie components of each department together allowing a single thread to run through the entire team. The Head of Ops will essentially be the “internal CEO” to help free up bandwidth for our CEO to become more focused on our customers, broader vision, and GTM strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Departments you’d potentially be overseeing: Operations, Finance, Product/Engineering, Project Management, Recruiting, HR, Legal
  • Build the operational machine, end to end, focusing on our people and processes
  • Help lead and build out our multidisciplinary leadership team
  • Help scale the company from “dozens” to “hundreds”
  • Design and implement highly effective business strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with our other departments to drive functional changes in how we can scale operations. Be a glue to build, maintain, and regularly communicate with others.
  • Ideate new processes and creative solutions to challenges unique to early-stage marketplaces.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Founder, CEO, COO, Chief of Staff, or similar role within a high-growth technology startup, preferably a B2B and/or marketplace company
  • Experience scaling a company from less than 50 to hundreds of employees
  • Experience with “going global” - launching new branches and divisions in various geographies
  • Experience hiring, retaining and developing other executives and managers
  • Process focused - lightweight and agile processes
  • Ability to make decisions with competing priorities
  • Self-starter with a history of successfully building and managing teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats to get the job done
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and effectively communicate recommendations across the company
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
